Paternity

When paternity is established, the Court will identify the legal father of the child and determine the rights and obligations of the father.  The rights and obligations include determining child support, parental responsibility, and the establishment of a parenting plan and time-sharing schedule. In Florida, the paternity of a child may be established through a marriage, an acknowledgment of paternity, scientific paternity testing, or court order.
